GAME 2: Safety at the Public Pool
SCENE 1
Sound of children playing. Splish and Splash enter the public pool. Splish shows Splash the pool rules and the characters wander over to a chaise lounge. Then Splash eagerly runs toward the pool despite Splish trying to stop him. Should Splash:
A) Jump right in? The water looks great.
OR
B) Wait until a grownup says it is O.K. to get in the pool?
The correct answer is B, Splash should stop and wait until a grownup says it is O.K. to go into the pool.
Click on A, and Splash jumps into the pool, looks distressed, and is pulled out by Splish, who shakes a finger at him and puts him on the deck where he is unhappy. “”Uh, oh. Try again?”"
Click on B, the correct answer, and characters enjoy playing together in the pool. “”Good job!”"
SCENE 2
Sound of children playing. Splish and Splash are playing with a ball in the pool. A whistle blows and a voice announces loudly, “”15-minute rest period. Everyone out.”" Splish gets out immediately, but Splash is still in the pool. Should Splash:
A) Stay in the pool, the lifeguard wasn’t talking to him?
OR
B) Listen to the lifeguard and get out of the pool?
The correct answer is B, Splash should listen to the lifeguard and immediately get out of the pool.
Click on A, and Splash jumps out of the pool, grabs the ball, and jumps back into the pool and plays with the ball. Splish pulls him out, shakes a finger at him scolding, and then puts him on the deck where he is unhappy. “”Uh, oh. Try again?”"
Click on B, the correct answer, and Splish climbs out of the pool and sits on the deck next to Splish. Splish pats him the head and gives him a bone as reward. Sound of kids cheering. “”Good job!”"
SCENE 3
Sound of bubbles. Splash is swimming underwater in the pool. He swims over a drain at the bottom of pool and looks curious. Should Splash:
A) Go ahead and touch, the drain is comething to play with?
OR
B) Keep away from any openings, holes or drains?
The correct answer is B, Splash should keep away from any pool openings, holes or drains.
Click on A, and Splash tries to pull the cover off the drain at the bottom of the pool. Splish pulls him out, shakes a finger at him scolding, and then puts him on the deck where he is unhappy. “”Uh, oh. Try again?”"
Click on B, the correct answer, and Splash swims over the drain, looks curious, then turns his head to the audience and shakes it no. He swims to the surface and starts playing with the ball with Splish. Sound of kids cheering. “”Good job!”"
