News & Media Resources

CPSC is leading a national effort involving state and local governments, national drowning prevention, water safety and children’s safety groups, and industry leaders to make drowning and entrapment prevention a critical public safety priority.

Every year, thousands of American families experience drownings, non-fatal submersions and entrapments—most of which are preventable if the public and pool and spa operators were to adopt safe water practices.

From press releases on the newest CPSC research to testimony before Congress on the enactment of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act, the News & Media Resources Section provides everything the news media, the public, our partner organizations and industry professionals need to know about pool and spa safety.
