Law and Regulations

One of FCA’s most important functions is to issue regulations and other guidance that govern how Farm Credit System institutions conduct their business. FCA develops policies and regulations that

• implement the law;
  
  
• promote the safety and soundness of FCS institutions; and
  
  
• enable the FCS to meet its statutory mandate to lend to farmers, ranchers, their cooperatives, and other eligible borrowers in rural America.
