Health Tip: Recognize Common Symptoms of Menopause

(HealthDay News) -- Menopause -- the point at which a woman's menstrual cycle stops for good -- usually occurs when the ovaries stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone.

The Womenshealth.gov website mentions these common symptoms of menopause:

  • Irregular periods.
  • Hot flashes.
  • Difficulty sleeping.
  • Mood changes.
  • Loss of interest in sex.
  • Osteoporosis, weight gain or muscle loss.
