Public Health and Healthcare Systems Evaluation

Program evaluation and performance metrics for the public health and healthcare emergency preparedness sector work in concert to allow the strengths and weaknesses of the program to be assessed, taking into consideration program goals, impact of implementation, and long-term viability. To make these assessments, sound performance metrics work to create a common language for communication of program requirements and goals. The feedback and results gleaned help to shape program evaluation, influence the direction for policy making decisions, provide guidance for program design, and establish program accountability.
