Search Tips
Use the following operators for more precise searches
- AND
example: americorps training [the AND is implied]
action: finds any pages that contain *BOTH* the word americorps *AND* the word training - exact phrase
example: "americorps training" (with quote marks around it)
action: finds pages that contain these words only if they are right next to each other. - OR
example: americorps OR training [the OR must be capitalized]
action: finds any pages that contain *EITHER* the word americorps *OR* the word training - NOT
example: americorps –training
action: finds pages that contain americorps, but do *NOT* contain training
note that the hyphen excludes pages in the initial result that contain the additional term;
used on its own, like this: –training will find nothing - ( )
example: (americorps OR training) –citizenship
action: finds items that contain americorps *OR* training, but do *NOT* contain citizenship - partial word
example: tutor*
action: finds any word that starts with "tutor", such as tutors, tutorial, tutoring
