In order to be qualified for this position, you must possess the following experience to fulfill the basic requirement: I have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies; (1) Attention to Detail - being thorough when evaluating Information Technology (IT) and conscientious about attending to detail in the application of IT guidance, policies and procedures; (2) Customer Service - Working with clients and customers (e.g. management, information technology personnel, organizations, etc...) assessing technology needs, providing highly technical information or assistance, resolving IT problems, providing alternative IT solutions or services; and demonstrating commitment to providing quality products and services; (3) Oral Communication - Expressing highly technical information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; delivering technically authoritative and persuasive oral presentations; listening to others, attending to nonverbal cues; and responding appropriately; (4) Problem Solving - identifying issues in development or operations of Information Technology or Systems, determining the accuracy and relevance of information; using expert judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives; and to making recommendations.

I have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service performing the following activities: managing and providing guidance on information technology programs/projects; analyzing and developing information technology (IT) systems for compliance with federal requirements; analyzing IT systems along with technical documentation to design and develop new and modernized systems; and providing technical recommendations to management.
Time-in-Grade : Career or career-conditional current and former Federal employees who select to apply under merit promotion procedures must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level of this position.
