Description

The Muscular Dystrophy Association, (MDA) is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. MDA has more than 200 offices across the country, sponsors some 200 hospital-affiliated clinics and supports more than 330 research projects around the world.

Print Resources

MDA resource materials include a variety of publications and videotapes. Serial publications: Quest is a bi-monthly magazine with circulation of 125,000 reports on the latest research findings and issues of living with a neuromuscular disease. The MDA/ALS Newsmagazine is a monthly newsletter for those who have amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and their families/caregivers. Annual Report--information on MDA programs, research activities, medical services, fund-raising, and educational programs, as well as such organizational data as financial statements.
