28th Lowell Wakefield Fisheries Symposium: Responses of Arctic Marine Ecosystems to Climate Change - March 26th to 29th, Anchorage, Alaska
This symposium seeks to advance our understanding of present and future responses of arctic marine ecosystems to climate change at all trophic levels from plankton to marine mammals to humans by documenting and forecasting likely changes in environmental processes and the responses of species to those changes.

The Arctic Observing Summit (AOS) is a high-level, biennial summit that aims to provide community-driven, science-based guidance for the design, implementation, coordination and sustained long-term (decades) operation of an international network of arctic observing systems.

First International Conference on Prevention of FASD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder- September 23rd to 25th, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
This is the first international conference to address the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of FASD. Plenary sessions will promote discussion and reflection on promising and innovative approaches for preventing FASD, such as policies and programs to address alcohol use and the social determinants of health. Sessions will identify barriers to FASD prevention and possible solutions for overcoming these obstacles.

Heritage and Change in the Arctic - October 11th to 14th, Nuuk, Greenland
Making a new and unique contribution to Arctic research and policy by bringing together scholars from northern Canada, Greenland and the Nordic countries, from the social and human sciences, this two-day conference relates the historical origins of key socio-environmental challenges facing Arctic communities to both contemporary responses and potential future alternatives.
