  • 2008 ozone NAAQS - EPA has posted two new guidance documents for transportation conformity: guidance for conformity in 2008 ozone NAAQS areas, and an update to guidance for conformity in multi-jurisdictional areas that applies for all NAAQS, including the 2008 ozone NAAQS.   • Yellow Marker 2012 Transition Guidance published - The EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance has exercised its enforcement discretion as a bridge to OAR's rulemaking, and will not pursue enforcement for violations of 40 CFR 80.510(f) for fuel marked with more than 0.10 milligram per liter of SY-124 and designated as 500 ppm sulfur LM diesel fuel that was introduced into the fuel distribution system prior to June 1, 2012.   • EPA identified an additional 18 of the Work Plan chemicals for assessment during 2013 and 2014 - The 18 chemicals span the range of the Work Plan screening criteria, including some chemicals associated with specific hazards such as potential carcinogenicity or reproductive or developmental toxicity; chemicals presenting persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic potential; and chemicals found in biomonitoring or reported in consumer products. Some of these chemicals, such as the five chlorinated hydrocarbons, the three flame retardants, and the four fragrance chemicals, may present an effective opportunity to assess groups of related chemicals together.
