    America House, the American Consulate General’s cultural center in Jerusalem, hosted the Third Annual Women’s Micro-Enterprise Bazaar at the Ambassador Hotel in Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem. The event featured local handicrafts produced by Palestinian women entrepreneurs from Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

    American Consul General Michael Ratney visited Bethlehem on November 13 and met with Palestinian Authority and local officials and business leaders. He noted the efforts that officials have made to strengthen the local business environment, specifically in the tourism sector.

    On October 15, American Consul General Michael Ratney visited An-Najah University in Nablus to celebrate the achievements of women in science. “Together, An-Najah University and the Consulate General are identifying new ways to support Palestinian women who have chosen to work in scientific fields,” said Mr Ratney
