This year, the Coatesville VA Medical Center was selected by the Department of Veterans Affairs as one of eight pilot sites nationwide to develop a team-based outpatient mental health model of care. The intent is that one of the models developed will be implemented nationwide. The selection coincided with the national Mental Health Hiring Initiative which enabled the hospital to add 22 additional mental health staff. Full Story
The Coatesville Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center is pleased to announce the recent appointments of three new executive leaders in October and November 2012. Jonathan Eckman, P.E. was appointed as the Associate Medical Center Director; Sheila Chellappa, MD, FACP, was selected as the Chief of Staff; and Nancy Schmid, RN, MSN, NEA-BC was chosen as the Associate Director for Patient Care Services/Chief Nurse Executive.
