Patient Aligned Care Teams

OGJVAMC has transformed how it delivers care to its Veterans. In 2010 OGJVAMC began implementing the VA’s Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Model to provide more patient centric care. Committed to Women Vets

Women constitute more than 15% of today’s active duty military and represent the largest growing subpopulation of the U.S. Armed Forces. In 2011, the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center (OGJVAMC) and it’s seven Community Outpatient Clinics (OPC) served 1,324 women Veterans. The age demographics of Women Veterans seen by VA providers are also changing. The majority of women veterans that were seen at VA medical centers and clinics in the past were in the 45-64 year old age group. While this is still predominately true, there is almost an equal amount of female veterans in the under 45 year old age group. Full Story
