Leadership & Advocacy Summit


Registration is now open for the American College of Surgeons (ACS) second annual Leadership and Advocacy Summit, April 13-16, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. This dual meeting supports the College’s goals of bringing existing and aspiring leaders together in a forum to discuss common issues and challenges facing surgery and providing a platform to push policy makers to enact legislation that will improve surgery and the quality of care for surgical patients.

Transition to Practice


 

The ACS Transition to Practice Program in General Surgery helps residents make the transition to independent practice in general surgery. Program participants will:

  • Obtain enhanced autonomous experience in broad-based general surgery
  • Increase your competence and confidence in clinical matters
  • Gain exposure to aspects of practice management
  • Experience mentoring with notable practicing surgeons
  • Participate in experiential learning tailored to one's individual needs
