U.S. GOVERNMENT TO HOLD COPYRIGHT SEMINAR FOR TENNESSEE CREATORS

Washington, D.C. --U.S. Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property Stephen Pinkos and Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) will join hundreds of Tennessee area creators on July 17, 2006 in Nashville for a conference on copyright policy being held by the Department of Commerce's United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The day-long conference will focus on how copyright laws can best protect intellectual property in an age when the Internet and other advances in technology are fundamentally changing the way we work, the way we learn, and the way we are entertained. The meeting will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
