They provide quarterly economic updates and respond to requests for reports and briefing materials on specific topics such as housing market conditions, affordable housing needs and homeownership trends. They provide data, advice and recommendations to HUD underwriting staff, lenders, developers, finance agencies and state and local governments. |  |

| The reports present counts and estimates of employment, population, households, and housing inventory for the counties and metropolitan areas based on data from BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics), and American Community Survey data from the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. Housing Market Conditions collects, analyses, and reports on housing production, marketing, affordability, foreclosures, and trends throughout the United States on a quarterly basis. The factual information, findings, and conclusions contained in the reports could be useful to builders, mortgagees, and others concerned with local housing conditions and trends. HUD Economists prepare analyses and forecasts of economic and housing market conditions in the region. |
