The Contracting Office at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract using simplified acquisition procedures on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Active Gear of Canada Ltd in Concord, Ontario for fifty-three Box EMI D-4 Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUS-V) Heaters. The resulting contract will be for a single, first-time acquisition of this kit. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333414, and the size standard is 500 employees. No solicitation will be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers or proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of offers or proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
