The primary goal of the Indian Health Service California Area Office is to raise the health status of American Indians to the highest possible level. To achieve this goal, the Indian Health Service California Area Office supports tribal governments and urban Indian communities in the development and administration of comprehensive health care delivery systems that meet the needs of Indian people.
