August 23 — ILAB's Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking (OCFT) currently has several open grants and contracts, and has also published a Notice of Intent to solicit more cooperative agreement applications for additional projects. Open opportunities range from a project to combat child labor in agriculture and domestic service in Tanzania to research, monitoring and evaluation of existing ILAB programs. Potential projects to be funded in FY2012 as published in the Notice of Intent include a project to strengthen policy and enforcement efforts to reduce child labor in Ecuador and Panama, and a project to combat child labor in Burkina Faso through educational and training services.
