Highly trained specialists can also provide referrals for the following: laboratory analyses, investigation of pesticide incidents, emergency treatment information, safety information, health and environmental effects, and clean-up and disposal procedures. NPIC is a toll-free telephone service available to anyone in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the VirginIslands, including the general public, the hearing impaired, and medical, veterinary, and other health care professionals. Spanish-speaking specialists are available to assist with pesticide questions, and services are provided in more than 170 different languages including Mandarin, French, and German.
