Abstract

The mission of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases is to support research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases; the training of basic and clinical scientists to carry out this research; and the dissemination of information on research progress in these diseases.

Publications

Consumer and professional education materials are available about arthritis, epidermolysis bullosa, scoliosis, Paget's disease, psoriasis, vitiligo, osteoporosis, autoimmune disease and many other diseases of bones, muscles, joints, and skin. All of the publications are listed at www.niams.nih.gov/hi/index.htm, and can be downloaded from there or ordered via the shopping cart on the NIAMS Web site.
