The Autism Society of America joins the American Art Therapy Association in presenting an information-rich toolkit with easy access to resources and research about how art therapy supports programs, caregivers, and people on the Autism Spectrum. The Art Therapy & Autism Spectrum Disorder Integrating Creative Interventions toolkit will be formally introduced at the American Art Therapy Association’s, 2012 Annual Conference in Savannah, Georgia, July 9-13. On July 10, the first full day of the conference, Autism Society of America Board members Jon Basinger and Linda Walder-Fiddle will convey to the audience of educators, practioners, healthcare professionals, and other attendees the urgent need for the entire community of mental health providers to become engaged in providing effective services for those on the Autism Spectrum.
