Sickle Cell Research for Treatment and CureSickle Cell Research for Treatment and Cure commemorates the 30th anniversary of the National Sickle Cell Anemia Control Act (P. L. 92-294). The law provided for establishment of voluntary sickle cell anemia screening and counseling programs; information and education programs for health professionals and the public; and research and research training in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of sickle cell anemia.
