Trainings
CMS is committed to helping the Indian Health Service, Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to collect third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, and the Social Security Administration, provides training to patient benefits advocates on benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children's Health Insurance Program(CHIP).
The target audience for the training includes:
- Billing/Business Office Staff
- Patient Registration Staff
- Benefits Coordinators
- Contract Health Services
Registration for a training can be accessed at the following site: http:/www.blsmeetings.net/cmsitutrainings/locations.cfm
Since much of the information is State specific, it is best for you to register for a training in your specific DHHS region. Additional training locations will be added throughout the year and you can contact your CMS Native American Contact for information about a training that may include your State programs.
