Shurin The NHLBI will host exhibits on both Expo days, including interactive demonstrations of ultrasound body imaging, activities to engage children and families to maintain a healthy weight through the We Can! program, and a COPD motion simulator that immerses riders in a five-minute microscopic journey to the "Center of the Lung." The Expo is designed to provide fun and interactive science activities for kids of all ages and their families. More than 200 staff from 25 NIH institutes, centers, and offices will host hands-on activities to stimulate interest in topics that include science careers, clinical research, healthy living, and imaging technology. To sign up as a volunteer, please visit http://science.education.nih.gov/SciFest-Volunteers by Friday, Oct. 15. The site provides details and contact information if you have questions. This is an officially sanctioned and recognized NIH activity.
