Recovery.gov - Track the Money

Recovery.gov is the U.S. government's official website that provides easy access to data
related to Recovery Act spending and allows for the reporting of potential fraud, waste, and abuse.

 Lights-On Map

The Lights-On map, designed and created by Edward Tufte, gradually lights up to show the distribution of Recovery awards from February 17, 2009 to December 31, 2010.  Each light represents an award.

Edward Tufte is a member of the Recovery Board's Advisory Panel and is Professor Emeritus of political science, statistics, and computer science at Yale University.  He has been referred to as the "da Vinci of data."
