Recovery.gov - Track the Money

Recovery.gov is the U.S. government's official website that provides easy access to data
related to Recovery Act spending and allows for the reporting of potential fraud, waste, and abuse.

Recipients of Recovery awards are required to report quarterly on the status of the award.

What the Dots Represent
The dots represent Recovery projects reported by the recipient as in progress.

The Map Colors
The map colors repres​ent the total Recovery funds awarded in a location.  The deeper the color, the more funds awarded.

What You Can Do on the Map

  • On the Funding drop-down menu you can choose to see completed projects by projects by state, congressional district, county, or zip code. Or choose a state from the drop-down menu, or enter your zip code to see completed projects in your neighborhood. You can also choose to see awards right down to the Street level or in an Aerial view. Location data is in the lower left-hand corner.
  • Click on a dot to see an award summary.
  • Search by recipient  name or by topic (e.g., "university," "energy," "transportation").
