Recovery.gov - Track the Money

Recovery.gov is the U.S. government's official website that provides easy access to data
related to Recovery Act spending and allows for the reporting of potential fraud, waste, and abuse.

 Jobs Summary - National

Choose a quarter and click "Go."

Prime recipients of Recovery awards are required to estimate and report the number of jobs funded by the Recovery Act.   Recipients calculate jobs as follows:

If three employees work on a Recovery-funded project for a total of 1,300 hours in a given quarter, and the recipient defines a full-time job as 520 hours (40 hours per week, for 13 weeks), the recipient would report  2.5 jobs (1,300/520 = 2.5).

*The job estimates for Quarter 1, 2010 do not include  Rhode Island which was granted an extension for reporting until July 2010 due to extensive flooding in the state.

*The job estimates for Quarter 2, 2011 do not include estimates from the Minnesota state agencies which received waivers due to the state government's shut down.
