ORWH participates in trans-NIH commitment to global health research by supporting a variety of initiatives aimed at improving health globally for women, children, families, and communities.

  • Women, Girls, and Gender Equity
    ORWH participates in initiatives designed to improve global health equity and empowerment for women, girls, men, and their communities.
  • Global Health Research Funding
    Learn more about NIH’s commitment to and investment in a variety of research topics vital to global health.
  • Global Health Research Training
    ORWH supports with NIH Institutes and Centers global health research training, including the Global Program for Fellows and Scholars in the NIH Fogarty International Center.
  • Global Gender-Based Violence
    Intimate partner violence is the most common form of violence experienced by women globally. It affects women’s and girls’ health nationally and internationally. ORWH participates in the interagency working group to prevent and respond to global gender-based violence.
