The Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO) advances U.S. national security by breaking cycles of violent conflict and mitigating crises in priority countries. We engage in conflict prevention, crisis response and stabilization, aiming to address the underlying causes of destabilizing violence.
