Tell Me a Tale

Overview

Starting with the El Yunque National Forest quarter, the students will access the national forest's website to understand how to help protect the environment for future plants and animals.  The students will demonstrate an understanding of a folk tale, personification, and the writing process and of ways to protect the Earth for the Puerto Rican parrot and Coqui tree frog by writing a folk tale using the “In Their Own Words” and “Write Me A Tale” worksheets.
