Florence Tangka, PhD, MS, is a health economist in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control. She is the principal investigator for a number of CDC cancer economics studies. Her current research focuses on the economics of cancer, economics of the national cancer registry program, economics of cancer screening programs, and utilization of breast and cervical cancer screening services. Dr. Tangka also serves as a professor at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University.

Susanna Visser, MS, is the lead Epidemiologist for the Child Development Studies team in the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD). Ms. Visser's areas of expertise include the epidemiologic study of neurobehavioral and mental health conditions of children, including ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, and autism. She is also an expert in analyzing longitudinal survey data, which is data covering developmental trends across the life span, and population-based survey data.

Captain Stephen H. Waterman, MD, MPH, serves in the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine (DGMQ) at the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. CAPT Waterman is the lead of the Division’s U.S. – Mexico Unit which includes the San Diego, CA, and El Paso, Texas, quarantine stations as well as staff based at CDC headquarters in Atlanta, and an assignee to the Mexico Ministry of Health Directorate of Epidemiology in Mexico City.

Her research interests are primarily focused on understanding disparities in cancer screening, treatment, quality of care, and survivorship.
