Community Prevention Day Is February 7

SAMHSA will convene its 7th Annual Community Prevention Day on February 7, 2011, in conjunction with the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America’s (CADCA’s) 21st Annual National Leadership Forum, which takes place February 7 to 11, 2011, in National Harbor, MD.

There is no charge to attend Community Prevention Day, but registration is required. Registration fees are required to attend CADCA’s forum.

This year’s National Leadership Forum theme, “Coalitions Moving Forward: Mapping the Future,” focuses on the future of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention, treatment, and research. SAMHSA will offer a variety of workshops, including science-based communication and marketing approaches and strategies for working with state health departments.

Prevention of Substance Abuse and Mental Illness is one of the Agency’s Strategic Initiatives. Join SAMHSA on the road to safer, healthier, drug-free communities!
