Applications are due Jan. 24 for the Lasker Clinical Research Scholar Program, an historic partnership between the NIH intramural and extramural communities and the Lasker Foundation. The goals are to bridge the widening gap between cutting-edge research and improved patient care and to nurture the next generation of clinical researchers. The program supports a small number of exceptional clinical researchers in the early stages of their careers to promote their development to fully independent positions. 2012 marks the second year the NHLBI is participating in the program.
