$1 Coin Events: Grover Cleveland
Which Presidential $1 Coin has been created most recently? During the last quarter, it was the coin that bears the name and portrait of 22nd president Grover Cleveland. The Statue of Liberty is on the back and some inscriptions are incused (stamped) into the coin’s edge.
Cleveland focused on stopping bad laws rather than introducing good changes, leading government reform in terms of honesty, economy, and efficiency. He was so successful at this type of reform that he symbolized it for generations. Cleveland vetoed more bills than all the 21 presidents before him put together.

A Beautiful Game for 2012
A tropical forest in Puerto Rico, ancient ruins in New Mexico, islands in Maine, volcanoes in Hawaii, wilderness in Alaska...what do all of these have in common? They describe some of America’s greatest national sites.
These sites are also subjects for the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program coins of 2012. What’s more, those quarters are the main characters in "Triple Play," the beautiful 2012 game in the series of America the Beautiful Quarters games.
Pick one of the five quarters. Can you remember what’s in the design? Study it for as long as you like. When you think you’re ready, see if you can pick part of the image from three choices. If you guess all three parts, it’s a triple play!

Quarter of the Quarter: Acadia
Quarter number 13 in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program is the third quarter of 2012. It honors Maine’s Acadia National Park.
The name "Acadia" comes to us from the French, who attempted one of the first settlements of the New World there. The settlement eventually moved on, but because of the area’s natural beauty, bountiful fishing, and other features, people just couldn’t stay away.
