Montana Reinvestment Act

Montana Information Related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

This site is to allow all Montanans to follow how we are reinvesting and rebuilding Montana with funding from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. An estimated 11,000 jobs will be created or saved and the majority of Montanans will see tax relief.

Governor Schweitzer is committed to being accountable to every dollar that comes from the Recovery and Reinvestment Act and get the money on the ground as quickly as possible putting people to work. Montanans will be able to submit comments to this site enhancing accessibility, accountability, and openness.

Overview of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act)

The Recovery Act, signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009 includes measures to modernize our nation's infrastructure, enhance energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief, and protect those in greatest need.

Montana Reinvestment Projects:

 

MT Recovery Data includes all funds appropriated by the Montana Legislature in HB 645 (Federal Silo Funds, Education Stabilization Funds, General Government Stabilization Funds, State General Fund and State Special Revenue) and any additional ARRA funds that were/will be awarded directly to a state agency outside of HB 645 (competitive grants). Estimates based on projects and programs as of March 31st and subject to change based on federal awards and individual project/program costs.
