I use the caller ID function on our phone to screen all phone calls. A lot of the telemarketing phone calls that my household receives come up with either just a phone number, a phone number & city/state or a phone number with initials. Sometimes we let it go to voicemail and sometimes we have to pick it up because we think it might be a friend or family member. It's really frustrating. I would be a lot happier if companies were required to put their entire name to show up on a caller ID log. We have received enough telemarketing phone calls to consider having our phone number listed as private. We have tried to get our number taken off the call lists, but we are often met with an automated system. It would be nice to be able to talk to a real person to get the situation handled effectively. Telemarketers should have to list the name of their business, not a product name, when they call.
