How often is it covered?

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers the facility fees for approved surgical procedures provided in an ambulatory surgical center.

Who's eligible?

All people with Medicare are covered.

Your costs in Original Medicare

You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount to both the ambulatory surgical center and the doctor who treats you. For certain preventive services, you pay nothing. You pay all facility charges for procedures Medicare doesn't cover in ambulatory surgical centers.
