ERA Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Acquisition

The purpose of the National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA) Electronic Records Archives (ERA) system is to permanently preserve and manage NARA"s electronic records, as well as to manage the lifecycle of paper records and other holdings, including support for records retention schedules and the accessioning process for all Federal records.ERA allows NARA to fulfill its mission in the digital age: to safeguard and preserve the records of our government, ensure that the people can discover, use, and learn from this documentary heritage, and ensure continuing access to the essential documentation of the rights of American citizens and the actions of their government.

Development of ERA has been ongoing since the initial contract award in 2005. The emphasis now is shifted to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the system with Corrective and Adaptive Maintenance and Technology Refresh as the central activities. NARA is now in the process of selecting an O&M partner to help it move forward.

Notice to all potential offerors: The Request For Quotation, Performance Work Statement, and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan are posted on GSA eBuy under RFQ Number 535508. Response to RFQ is due on April 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM.
