This page provides data about youth asthma and school health programs, policies, and practices designed to address asthma in school settings. These data are collected through surveillance systems administered by CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health.


Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System

The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) monitors health-risk behaviors among adolescents and young adults.

The School Health Policies and Practices Study is a national survey periodically conducted to assess school health policies and practices at the state, district, school, and classroom levels.
