Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for HIPAA Privacy Rule Accounting of Disclosures under HITECH

OCR announced a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) concerning the accounting of disclosures requirement under the HIPAA Privacy Rule, is available for public comment beginning May 31, 2011.  The proposed rule would give people the right to get a report on who has electronically accessed their protected health information.
