NIH Basic Behavioral and Social Sciences Opportunity Network (OppNET) Grants

Purpose

OppNet is a trans-NIH initiative that funds activities to build knowledge about the nature of behavior and social systems, and that deepen our understanding of basic mechanisms of behavioral and social processes relevant to health. OppNet assigns funding and project management of meritorious applications to the NIH IC whose scientific mission most closely corresponds to each funded project. NLM participates in the OppNet program and focuses on novel informatics approaches needed to capture, represent, organize, analyze or integrate research findings related to social and behavioral science priorities of OppNet.
