SmartWay Logo Use Guidelines
SmartWay Partners that demonstrate superior environmental performance are eligible to promote their participaton and status in the SmartWay Transport Partnership by using the SmartWay Transport partner logo.
Use of the SmartWay designated logo on vehicles/equipment requires permission via a separate process, as defined by the SmartWay technology program. Learn more about using the SmartWay designated logo on your tractors or trailers.

Using the SmartWay Partner Logo
Use of the SmartWay Transport partner logo for those eligible partners that requested and received the digital logo files under the previous SmartWay ranking sytem (i.e. SIF Scores) is permitted until January 1, 2013.
Partners that qualify under the current logo criteria (based on their timely 2011 data-year tool submitted in 2012) and that have requested and received the digital logo files will be eligible to use the SmartWay partner logo until their next tool submission deadline.
Partner logo status, as defined in the above paragraph, is indicated by the SmartWay leaf 
which appears adjacent to qualifying company names on the SmartWay partner list.
The SmartWay partner logo graphic may:
- be used after obtaining written EPA approval. See instructions in the next paragraph.
- be featured on the marketing materials (e.g. brochures, posters, letterhead, etc.), in advertising and on websites of qualifying SmartWay partners.
- NOT be used as an exterior label on tractors and trailers. (Tractors and trailers do not use the parter logo because they have their own specific logos.)
Review the SmartWay Graphics Standards and Usage Guide (PDF) (33 pp, 412K, EPA-420-B-11-014), then complete and sign the logo use signature page. The signature of your organization's designated official means that your organization understands and agrees to adhere to the SmartWay logo use guidelines. Upon receipt of your signed and completed logo use signature form and following a brief review, the official SmartWay brand logo files will be sent to you for promotional purposes.
Specifications for Use of SmartWay Partner Logo

Affiliates: Using the SmartWay Affiliate Logo
Participating SmartWay Affiliates are encouraged to promote the goals of SmartWay through education and marketing of tools, technologies, strategies and policies promoted by the SmartWay Transport Partnership. Use of the SmartWay brand logo is limited to non-profit Affiliates.

The signature of your organization’s designated official means that your organization understands and agrees to adhere to the SmartWay logo use guidelines. Upon receipt of your signed and completed logo use signature rorm and following a brief review, the official SmartWay brand logo files will be sent to you for promotional purposes.
Specifications for Use of SmartWay Affiliate Logo
Non-profit Affiliates may use the SmartWay Transport logo for promotional and educational purposes.
Manufacturers of SmartWay verified technologies are prohibited from using the SmartWay logo. Manufacturers of SmartWay verified technologies provide technologies that assist our Partners with meeting their goals and thus indirectly contribute to SmartWay program goals. However, use of the SmartWay logo could potentially confuse the public about the SmartWay brand, and could imply an improper endorsement by EPA of the product.
