Jenny A. Durkan is the United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington. In this capacity, she serves as trial counsel for the United States and her office represents the United States in criminal and civil lawsuits.

The office has a staff of approximately 68 Assistant U.S. Attorneys and 69 support staff (View Organizational Chart). It includes a Criminal Division as well as a Civil Division.

The office prosecutes cases investigated by several law enforcement agencies in Western Washington, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms & Explosives (ATF), Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS-ICE), U.S. Marshal's Service (USMS), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS).

The office also handles most civil claims made against the U.S. Government, pursues affirmative civil cases on its behalf, and collects debts owed to the United States.

The main office is located in Seattle. A branch office is located in Tacoma. In addition a Vancouver Federal Investigative Center is located in Vancouver, Washington.
