About OBMT

In April 2006, the Assistant Secretary for Administration (ASA) created the Office of Business Management & Transformation (OBMT) to develop innovative strategies for change by breaking away from pre-existing boundaries and approaching management challenges from a customer focused, business results orientation. Conceived as an internal consulting group, OBMT builds upon the success of the Office of Commercial Services Management with an expanded portfolio including broader transformational responsibilities. Led by a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Business Transformation, OBMT works with organizations across HHS.
