James Madison Council and Donors

Through the generosity of the James Madison Council, the Library's national private-sector body of prominent cultural, business and philanthropic leaders, and the contributions of donors, Gifts to the Nation were funded. These gifts--historically significant items and collections, endowed chairs for visiting scholars, endowed curatorships for library specialists, and national focal points for scholarship--are listed below with a full description available through the hypertext links.
