Performance and Accountability at CDC

The Performance and Accountability Unit within the Office of the Associate Director for Program is responsible for guiding CDC’s performance measurement efforts and integrating performance data with program improvement and budget planning.

The primary functions of the Unit are to:

  • Support and guide the use of performance measures in program monitoring  (e.g., Healthy People 2020, PART/GPRA, Affordable Care Act)
  • Guide analysis and reporting of performance data in public reports and budget documents
  • Support assessment of program effectiveness and impact, including the Prevention and Public Health Fund (PPHF)
