The Federal Helium Program, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Amarillo Field Office (Helium Operations), is responsible for the conservation and sale of helium for Government use and is under the direction of the BLM’s New Mexico State Director. The Amarillo Field Office, located at 801 South Fillmore Street, Amarillo, Texas, provides management, engineering, and support services for four facilities in Texas and Kansas.
