Determination of NEPA Adequacy for Grazing Modification
The Taos Field Office has completed a DNA to do a one-time modification of livestock grazing within the Wild Rivers Allotment (#00606). This decision was made as a Final Decision effective immediately for resource protection purposes.

Galisteo Basin Archaeological Sites Protection Act General Management Plan and Environmental Assessment are now available for public review
*The public review and comment period has been extended to September 15, 2012.* Taos Field Office invites the public to review and comment on an Environmental Assessment to evaluate the proposed Galisteo Basin Archaeological Sites Protection Act General Management Plan. 

Comments must be received by September 15, 2012, and may be provided via email to bhigdon@blm.gov or by mail to BLM Taos Field Office, Attention:  Brad Higdon, 226 Cruz Alta Road, Taos, New Mexico 87571.

La Puebla Special Recreation Area Management Plan Environmental Assessment

Taos Resource Management Plan
The Taos Resource Management Plan, now approved, is prepared to provide broad-scale direction for the management of public lands in northern New Mexico administered by the Taos Field Office.

Grazing Lease Renewal Environmental Assessments (September)
The Taos Field Office has completed four Environmental Assessments (EAs) addressing the authorization of 30 grazing leases.

Santa Fe River Canyon Riparian Forest Restoration Project Environmental Assessment
The Decision Record and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Santa Fe River Canyon Riparian Forest Restoration project have been signed by Taos Field Office Manager. The decision provides for removal of Russian olive, a non-native species.  Native species, such as willow and cottonwood, will be planted on BLM lands in the Santa Fe River Canyon between La Cieneguilla and La Bajada, NM. The Santa Fe National Forest will be posting a separate decision by the Española District Ranger for the Santa Fe River Canyon riparian area on Forest Service lands.
