The social determinants of health are the complex, integrated, and overlapping social structures and economic systems that are responsible for most health inequalities. These social structures and economic systems include the social and physical environment, health services, and structural and societal factors. At the conclusion of this webinar, you will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the social determinants of health in the United States, their influence on cancer, and implications for cancer control.
